TEHRAN, Jan. 21 (FNA) – The onshore requirements of Phase 6 of the South Pars project is ready for operation, Fars News Agency quoted vice president of Iran’s South Pars Oil and Gas Company as saying here on Monday.

Abolhassan Khamushi, the vice president of the company, added that the offshore segment of the project has yet to come on stream pending Statoil announce its timetable.
Natural gas extracted out of the phases 6, 7, and 8 of South Pars oilfield is to be injected into Aghajari oilfield, he added.
Out of 3 offshore platforms required, one has been installed, he said, adding with over 96 percent physical progress the platform is tentatively in operation.
Mechanical and operations and supplying electricity to the two other platforms are underway, he observed.
Statoil Company of Norway has been entitled as the contractor of this project, but it has not denoted any specified time for implementation of the project.
